Some video games are too expensive to be so short
But I have a solution for those who can't afford to do this. First off, DON'T buy a game when it first comes out. wait about a month or two for a few reviews to come out and see how the game is. Then if you think the game seems alright to play and that it won't be too easy or too short for your tastes, you can buy it, or better yet, rent it or buy it used. Trust me on this, because I've been through it a lot and it's not fun when you realize that you've wasted money on a game you beat in a few hours. It's like spending $20 on and ice-cream cone and you eat it in like 5 minutes. Feel free to disagree with me, I'm just expressing the opinions of a lot of people on my side.

News: Battlefield 3 Questions with Karl Magnus Troedsson Vice President and General Manager of DICE
Will the maps on console versions be scaled down to fit the reduced number of players?
Yes they will run on smaller versions of the same maps. Are there any maps where no vehicles are present?
We actually have an ‘Infantry Only’ option for the player who wants to focus on this part of the experience.Do you believe you have done all you can to max out the power on the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3?
We're definitely pushing the hardware much more than we did before with BFBC2.
Are there any plans to make another downloadable BF game, like you did with BF1942? That game was fantastic!
Glad you liked it! But sorry, can't comment on this. What is your greatest achievement with Frostbite 2 and what will it mean for Battlefield 3?
It's how the engine enable us to deliver great visuals, stunning animations, awesome soundscape large scale maps and total destruction. It enables us to build our all out war! Will we see a return of the Battlefield Commander Role from BF2?
We've decided to push down the responsibility of the commander to the squad leaders who can set orders and strategize. The entire team can use the different communication tools available, spot enemies etc. What is your favourite Battlefield moment from the whole series?
So much to choose from, but I have to say that the intro movie to BF1942 is something that still sticks with me.Why have you included the prone position in Battlefield 3, and why wasn't it included in earlier versions?
Prone is back because the community wanted it so badly! It's a bit of technical challenge to get right with the animations, but more importantly it needs to be balanced with the other second-to-second gameplay
If you're in a jet, do you have an unfair advantage over people in tanks and on foot in multiplayer?
Of course not. Battlefield has been built around a rock-paper-scissor mentality - there's always something to counter the other. Anything from infantry carried Stingers to mobile AA vehicles will give pilots a challenge.Have you ever had a real battlefield experience? If so when and where?
Several parts of our team spend time hunting down the right reference material during pre-productions. This means going to military exercises to capture audio or to shooting ranges to evaluate weapons handling. Will the console games ever have the number of players available to PC gamers?
Consoles are not as powerful as today’s PCs. Running 64 player matches would mean scaling down things like vehicles, destruction etc. These are key pillars of what Battlefield is all about, so this makes it a no for usWill there be expansions for #BF3 such as the Special Forces exp for BF2?
Yes, there will be PDLC post launch. We've announced the Back To Karkand pack but there will be more to come.Last question - and one that a lot of people are asking . . .
When will the Beta come out? #GAMEfest #BF3
Soon, be patient! :) As soon as we can, we'll announce the date.Interesting stuff! Hopefully more will be revealed at Gamefest this weekend! Those of you who haven't signed up yet, do so quickly! Thanks again to Gamedigital for holding this session and shedding light on a great looking game.

Tanktastic: The beginning!
This is the first in a series of articles about my experiences as a tank in the World of Warcraft and as such I'm going to start with an odd confession. I've never played a tank before!
While it may not seem like much keep in mind that when it comes to venturing in dungeons you are limited to one of 3 roles; healer, damage and tank. To say you've not tried one of those roles is to say you've only experienced, at best, two thirds of the World of Warcraft.
Determined to correct this and because I hadn't much else to do while waiting for 'Spacemarine' I created my first warrior.
My first step was to get some equipment. As I was aware how easy it is to level I decided heirloom items were the best option. That way I wouldn't have to worry about my equipment so much. Heirloom items are ones that can be purchased by higher level characters and passed down to any low level ones that you make. Their statistics increase as you level so you constantly find yourself wearing the best equipment and don't have to worry about upgrading it. The only drawback with heirlooms is that they are quite “expensive” in Wow terms and mine took some time to acquire. Eventually though my new warrior was armed with a number of shiny and somewhat overpowered items.
After levelling to 15 it was time to start running dungeons. Nervously I put my character in the queue using the dungeon finder.
Within seconds I found myself in the Deadmines. Not my first choice for a starting dungeon but it would have to do. Charging towards my first enemy, with my allies just behind me I hoped that the articles I had read had given me good advice. Sadly a miss click nearly spelled disaster as my shiny new hero pounced on one of the usable cannons. Fun indeed but not very helpful to the rest of my group who were quickly set upon by the numerous enemies.
Things got back on track quickly though and I soon found myself going through the dungeon at a decent speed. That was until an excitable hunter decided to open fire on the entire room, including a boss character. We didn't last very long and while I wasn't particularly grateful I bit my tongue and resolved to continue. That is until the healer seemed to suffer some kind of breakdown. After forgetting how to get back to the dungeon they shouted repeatedly that they were “in the horde place” and left. At that point I thought it best to leave as well. Perhaps my next dungeon will go a bit better?
